Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These terms cover your use of TerraMath (TerraMath.app). By using the site, you agree to them.

The service

TerraMath is provided free of charge, with no account or sign-up required. It calculates soil volume and mix ratios for raised beds and containers, and includes an NPK fertilizer balancer that checks your fertilizer against a plant's ideal ratio and estimates an application rate, entirely in your browser.

Acceptable use

Use TerraMath the way it's intended to be used. In particular, don't:

No account, nothing saved

TerraMath doesn't use accounts or any storage, server-side or local. Nothing you enter is retained after you close or refresh the page — there's nothing to back up, recover, or lose.

Calculation accuracy — especially for fertilizer

TerraMath's soil volume and mix-ratio math is straightforward geometry and proportions, and we've checked it carefully. The NPK balancer is different: it's a simplified rule-of-thumb comparison against general plant needs, not a substitute for a real soil test, and it doesn't know what's already in your soil. Over-fertilizing can genuinely harm plants and, in the case of nitrogen and phosphorus runoff, the surrounding environment. Use TerraMath's fertilizer guidance as a starting estimate, always follow your specific product's label rate, and consider a real soil test before applying fertilizer at scale.

Advertising

TerraMath is built to support two ad slots served through an ad network, currently inactive. If activated, ads are subject to that network's own advertising policies in addition to these terms. See our Privacy Policy for more detail on how that would work.

No warranty

TerraMath is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TerraMath and its creators aren't liable for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service, including any gardening or fertilizing outcome based on its calculations.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of TerraMath after a change means you accept the updated terms. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
